As part of the Portland Jiu Jitsu community, I would like to invite you all to a seminar and fundraiser this Sunday, April 27th, at Renzo Gracie Portland in support of our training partner, Frank Grun, his family, and the physical therapy his infant son, Christian, needs right now.
Please read more about their journey here and consider making a donation:
http://christian.causevox.com/
No matter what school you train at, please do what you can. All proceeds will go to the Grun family for Christian’s physical therapy sessions. Suggested donation is the usual seminar cost of $50, but no amount is too small and all are welcome. The seminar will be followed by a raffle or silent auction and food in celebration of how far Christian has come as well as regularly scheduled open mat.
What: Seminar/Fundraiser for Christian Grun
Where: Renzo Gracie Portland, 2636 NW 26th Ave
When: April 27th from 11am to 1pm (before the usual open mat practice)
You’ve never trained Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu before – or maybe it’s been a while – and you feel like you need to start from the top, the very top; That’s exactly where BJJ 101 gets going. BJJ 101 is the gateway to learning your way around the mats, learning a little self-defense in the process and building a real appreciation for a discipline that has captivated the attention of casual practitioners and professional mixed martial artists alike.
The new class cycle begins Monday March 31. Mon and Wed, 6pm-7pm.
