Wrestling Class
The goal of this program is to teach basic and intermediate hand fighting, stance-and-motion, leg attacks (takedowns), throws and defense. Students should leave class feeling prepared and capable of bringing the fight to the ground in a controlled, safe and technical way.
Class is open to gym members with an unlimited membership as well as youth wrestlers.
Wrestling class meets twice a week: Monday and Wednesday at 6pm.
Wrestling Instructor
Niko began wrestling in elementary school in Washington State. After taking a liking to the sports gritty mentality, he became a three-time state placer, national team member and varsity college wrestler (Simon Fraser University & Clackamas Community College). Upon moving on from the sport, Niko started training at Team Quest and soon found jiu jitsu to be a new avenue to explore. He received his Blue Belt from Tony Gracia (Impact Jiu Jitsu) in 2015. After competing in a few of RGA PDX’s “Portland Sunday Open” tournaments and seeing the level of instruction and talent, Niko soon joined the gym.
